Want to save money on services at The UPS Store locations? Well, there are two ways for seniors to do so!

First up, you can get access to special discounts if you are an AARP member. If you show your AARP membership card at one of the 4,900 The UPS Store locations, you will receive 5% off domestic and international UPS shipping services, as well as 15% off some eligible products and services. The eligible products and services include things like:

  • Printing, packing, and mailbox services (the latter is only for new mailbox agreements).
  • Fax services.
  • Moving supplies and packaging materials.
  • Office supplies.
  • Computer services (available at participating US locations).

If you aren’t an AARP member, head on to the AARP website to join. Individuals aged 50 or more are eligible for full AARP membership, and the membership costs just $12 for the first year and $16/year thereafter.

The benefits of the AARP membership aren’t limited to The UPS Store – you may get access to senior discounts at pharmacies (like Walgreens) or hotels as well. So those $12 to $16 per year may be well worth it for you.

AAA (American Automobile Association) members get access to very similar discounts at The UPS Store locations too. But it seems that you can’t combine AAA and AARP membership deals.

As is commonly known, many seniors take advantage of AARP membership in order to get the senior discounts tied to it at thousands of businesses across the US.

Many seniors also like AMAC – the Association Of Mature American Citizens- as an alternative to AARP, but there is no info at this time on whether the UPS Store gives discounts to AMAC members.
